Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Rajnath Singh, Along with CM Yogi Adityanath, Inaugurate Lucknow–Kanpur 6-Lane and Lucknow–Hardoi 4-Lane Expressways

The Lucknow–Kanpur 6-lane Expressway and the Lucknow–Hardoi 4-lane Expressway, constructed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), were inaugurated in the presence of Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath. Built at an estimated cost of ₹4,200 crore, the 63-kilometre, six-lane Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway connects Lucknow, Kanpur and Unnao, significantly improving connectivity and enabling faster, safer and more comfortable travel. Lucknow serves as Uttar Pradesh's cultural and administrative capital, while Kanpur is one of the state's leading industrial and economic hubs. Both cities are also key nodes of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor, making the new expressway strategically important. The expressway is expected to accelerate development in smaller towns and villages, strengthen trade and investment, create employment opportunities and play a vital role in the long-term economic growth of Uttar Pradesh
